About Children’s Classes…
The Children’s Department at Calvary has a place for all children from birth through 5th grade. Our nursery is staffed by well trained young women who love children. They are trained to teach the Early Christian Awareness program-a curriculum for babies 6 months old through 3 years old.
It is a wonderful program that introduces God and his creation of all things in a way the children can understand.
At 4 years of age, the children transition to Sunday School. We meet together for songs, prayer and a group lesson. After the group lesson we have a snack and then split into two groups for further study. We have a younger group and an older group, each with their own teacher.
We also have Children’s Church twice a month. This is an opportunity for the children to participate in the beginning of the worship service and then move together to a Sunday School classroom for age appropriate worship. The other Sunday’s there will be a Children’s Sermon as a part of the regular worship service.

We take the children to sing at a retirement home a few times a year. We also participate in the Fourth of July Parade and Christmas Parade by riding on the Calvary Float. There are many other activities throughout the year for the children to participate in. We would love to have your children come and visit our Children’s Department.
