UMW General Meeting, Hope Outreach Project, Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper, and More

Calvary United Methodist Women will meet on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for our annual Prayer and Self Denial Meeting. The program will be presented by Rev. Beverly Olsen, our dear friend and former staff member. Supper will be soups prepared by Circle members and crackers.

This will be the start-up month for our New Hope Outreach project. We will be bringing items to each meeting that will be taken to the New Hope facility. This month we are bringing towels and washcloths. We will have a basket at the meeting that we will fill and take to New Hope. Each Circle leader has a list of the items to be brought for each meeting.

Shrove TuesdayMark your calendars for Tuesday, February 13, 2018: FAT TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER! All you can eat pancakes and sausage will be served from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Come help decorate at 4:15 p.m. on that day. This is a big outreach for UMW as well as a big fundraiser!

Another date to mark on your calendar is March 2, 2018, for Church Women United World Day of Prayer. Details of time and place will be available at the UMW General Meeting.

We would like to extend an invitation to all new members and visitors. Come join us for this February meeting and see what a dedicated bunch of women can do – plus we have a lot of fun along the way. We have lots of projects lined up for the upcoming year and invite all to come join us on the journey.

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
